Sun Lakes Pickleball ClubSun Lakes Pickleball began in October 2008 every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6-8 pm on a Cottonwood tennis court with portable nets and taped boundary lines. As word spread about this unusual court sport, and our numbers started growing, we moved to daytime hours on a taped Palo Verde tennis court on Monday and Wednesday afternoons for 2 hours. With the formation of the Sun Lakes Pickleball Club the play moved to Sisk Park in Palo Verde where we currently share a converted parking lot divided into 2 courts. Play expanded to 4 afternoons a week and Friday and Saturday mornings and early afternoon. Currently 143 members enjoy scheduled play as well as leagues and tournaments. Every day people ask about the game of Pickleball which is the fastest growing sport in the country among active seniors.
